Nutrition, food budgeting and food safety education is provided to individuals and families through the Nutrition Services team of the Food Bank. Our goal is to promote healthy eating habits, foster appetites for nutritious food, and help participants improve their basic cooking skills as a part of the Food Bank's mission to empower communities to end hunger.
To do this, we offer hands-on courses and workshops for adults and families. Programming is provided at no cost to participants, however host sites are asked to help defray program expenses.
In addition to our courses and workshops we also distribute educational materials, recipes, and a monthly newsletter through our GoHealthy program. Materials are available both on the GoHealthy page of this website and to Partner Agencies through our monthly display in the Warehouse Distribution waiting room.
