Community Food Drives

On any given day in North Texas, tens of thousands of families and individuals struggle with food insecurity and hunger. This means that community food and fund drives are needed all year. Workplaces, churches, schools, youth groups and others are encouraged to make a difference and sponsor Food & Fund Drives.

If you are planning a food drive that is only open to people in your school, group or organization, please fill out the Food Drive Registration Form below. If you are planning an event that is open to the public, please fill out our Mutual Marketing Partnership Form below.

Thank you for your interest in starting a food/fund drive to support Tarrant Area Food Bank. We offer materials and tips for successful food drives and ask that food drives be registered with us so we can anticipate when food will be delivered.

Virtual food drive

Virtual food drives give you an opportunity to engage your friends, family and coworkers in raising support for Tarrant Area Food Bank’s work to feed hungry North Texans. You can create a personal fundraising page or involve members from your company or organization in your drive. Every dollar raised through a virtual food drive helps TAFB provide five meals for those in need.

Federal law protects food donors should such donated food later cause harm to a recipient. While exceptions are made for gross negligence, the law states that these groups will not be subject to civil or criminal liability.
